Can I use subscriber fields in my subject line?

Yes, you can. For example, your emails subject line could say: "John - Check out my personalized message."

To do this you would enter the following as your subject line: "%PERS_NAME% - Check out my personalized message."

Or any combination. Subscriber fields are also excellent for inside the body of the message.

Here's a tip: If you want to use subscriber fields, yet only half of your database contains data for names you can insert something generic for the people missing information. If nothing is entered in these fields it will not show anything.

For example, instead of a name, you could enter the word 'friend' and simply start your messages with Dear %PERS_NAME% -
